Our approach to BCA consultancy is to promote performance-based pathways and allow the project design strategy to lead code compliance requirements, rather than the alternative of developing a design based on prescriptive code restrictions. This gives the client and the project team the opportunity to introduce innovative design options to meet the design and building functionality objectives.

At the same time, we will provide a proactive position on any design compliance option that we consider will present complications for the certification and authority referral process.  This is an attribute that is often underestimated in consultant selection for innovative or complex projects. BM+G has the experience and skill set to manage and advise on design boundaries, and hence mitigate the risk of cost increases and program delays when compliance and authority processes raise concern, or challenge design compliance initiatives.
