Director

Michael is an unrestricted Register Certifier and over 15 years’ experience as a Building Certifier and Building Code Consultant in the public and private sector, working for the City of Sydney and Blacktown City Council before joining Blackett Maguire + Goldsmith in 2013.

Michael has specialised knowledge in the application of building compliance and building certification for large and complex buildings.  Understanding key nuisances associated with complex buildings is essential to designing and delivering these important pieces and infrastructure.

More recently he has developed a greater understanding and application of assessing buildings for a people with a disability.  Being an advocate in the building industry for people with a disability is an important role to play.  This also assists building owners with following their obligations in relation to the Disability Discrimination Act.

He has experience across all building types, certification pathways, and both BCA and access consulting.  This wide-ranging experience allows Michael to assist in any project, whether it is small or large-scale infrastructure.
