Adam Durnford

Director

Adam is a Registered Certifier (unrestricted) and Building Surveyor with over 20 years’ experience operating in the private sector.

Adam joined the Company (then known as Blackett Maguire & Associates) at the beginning of 2003, and has been an integral part of the team, rising to Associate Director before becoming a Director in 2023.

Adam has in-depth knowledge of the planning and building legislative framework within NSW which ensures clients are assisted in an extensive range of matters involved in the building approvals process.

Adam is able to provide clients with a broad range of services ranging from regulatory consultancy advice having regard to the requirements of the Building Code of Australia, Australian Standards, The Access Premises Standards.

Further, Adam’s speciality in design advice for existing and new projects, fire safety upgrades, management of annual certification of essential fire safety measures together with all aspects of the building certification system within NSW, ensure exceptional client services.

Adam’s knowledge and expertise extends to all types of developments within the built environment with significant experience provided to clients in large scale hospital developments (new build and refurbishments), mental health facilities, aged care, multi-storey residential and mixed-use developments, university and schools, multi-storey car parks, multi storey commercial and certification of essential fire safety measures.
